Character file / under-spelled hero

Wyatt Erp

He was one vowel short of legend. Then he found out the whole town was missing letters too.

“Some men chase glory. Some men chase gold. I’m mostly chasing an affordable A.”

Wyatt Erp — reluctant hero, broke cowboy, founder of the Vowel Movement. Missing: 1 A.
ProblemA

Couldn’t buy a vowel

Wyatt wanted to become a famous frontier name. But in Typo Territory, vowels were luxury goods and his wallet had more dust than dollars.

Power?

Accidental leadership

He did not plan a revolution. He just kept asking why one letter should cost more than a horse.

WeaknessA

Too honest to keep it

When Wyatt finally gets the missing A, he realizes the town needs it more than his reputation does.

Character notes

How to draw Wyatt

Keep him heroic but visibly broke: crooked hat, dusty coat, empty pockets, ERP badge, tired boots, and a face that says he might save the town after he finds lunch.

  • Comedy contrast: dramatic western posture, very practical problem.
  • Core choice: personal glory versus public language.
  • Visual gag: the missing A should always feel like a real object in the world.
